No the 1.9k is the total amount of streams from the week

But that obviously doesn't include illegal downloads and places where they don't accept streams or the fact that not every online music store is streaming her album
why is that number so low omg
It's not really. The 1938 is the number of albums credited from streams. So nearly 3M streams.R Kelly and August had over 4M.But Chris had 17M streams.
oh ok I thought it was 2K :uhh: I was gonna say

That's impossible

Idk what he's talking about but her album was streamed 1.4 million, not nearly 3 million.

August album was streamed 3.7 million and 'Bert 1.9 million their first week.

One of ha best albums being her lowest sales...  crazy.

but  we knew sis was going to flop but 27? got damn, they should have pushed this albums back after they seen JRFM wasnt doing a damn thing.

i honestly think monica's career in music has come to an end. at least for a while. her voice isn't that great anymore or stands out, her taste in music is a bit boring and stagnant. she's not a performer.... and her sound has been in the same lane since forever.

although her low sales are because of the state of r&b i also don't think the general public cares for her like that anymore, last album flopped, still standing only sold  thanks to the reality show and the keyshia cole single leading up to the Everything to me, because the album it self was  boring, altho good at the same time

RIP MMC (mon's music career)

I agree with this. Monica has never shown growth to me musically. She should just milk that touring market while people still want to see her shows. Nothing wrong with still releasing music, but she should have no expectations of commercial success because that ship has sailed.

The album flopped- period. But putting it into perspective how long do ya'll expect these artists to do numbers? She has her platinum albums and #1s, you can't maintain that forever. If this was her third or fourth album I would understand the jokes, but not 7 albums and 20 years in.

!!!

we sit and ki about our favs flopping but they are not going to continue selling millions or pushing out hits. thats the reality of it, this isnt even a ki at this point honestly.

She has her #1's sold millions so unless she is doing this for the money (which im sure she isn't) she should venture into other stuff while doing music on the side which is what i think ghan is doing..

like i said in another thread, Music cant always be a priority to these artist if its no longer away to make ends meat. I dont care if they love doing music or not, its just not as important as it was back in the day because of the state of the industry.

Most of this is just mess. At least, on my part it is. I'm aware that she's past her prime and already peaked.
