The girl got ONE single

That was never sent to radio

Went to iTunes 3 months after release

A cheap video SHE paid for

And had to book her OWN promo week of release

RCA knew this what they were doing by not supporting this era because she isn't renewing her contract after this album

But STILL Queen delivered the one of the best R&B albums of 2015, not many can say when they're fav underperforms

Right I'm uber proud

But that obviously doesn't include illegal downloads and places where they don't accept streams or the fact that not every online music store is streaming her album

It's not really.The 1938 is the number of albums credited from streams.So nearly 3M streams.R Kelly and August had over 4M.But Chris had 17M streams.

but  we knew sis was going to flop but 27? got damn, they should have pushed this albums back after they seen JRFM wasnt doing a damn thing.


i honestly think monica's career in music has come to an end. at least for a while. her voice isn't that great anymore or stands out, her taste in music is a bit boring and stagnant. she's not a performer.... and her sound has been in the same lane since forever.

although her low sales are because of the state of r&b i also don't think the general public cares for her like that anymore, last album flopped, still standing only sold  thanks to the reality show and the keyshia cole single leading up to the Everything to me, because the album it self was  boring, altho good at the same time

But yea her taste and ear (although better this time) could still use some more ... help IMO. Some really good songs on this new album though

I agree with this. Monica has never shown growth to me musically. She should just milk that touring market while people still want to see her shows. Nothing wrong with still releasing music, but she should have no expectations of commercial success because that ship has sailed.

The album flopped- period. But putting it into perspective how long do ya'll expect these artists to do numbers? She has her platinum albums and #1s, you can't maintain that forever. If this was her third or fourth album I would understand the jokes, but not 7 albums and 20 years in.
