I actually believe most of what he said. That girl knew what she signed. And the deal don't sound too bad, except her paying for everything(this would make the deal even better if the label were taking care of studio expenses and travel etc... like what are they collecting for if they aren't doing that?) that's what threw me off because a 60/40 split and part of all your masters, 70/30 touring and merch isn't too bad. That 60/40 is sometimes standard for new artists


But somewhere along the line something is not right and I don't know from which one, but I know the direction I'm leaning in..

That's because they know there's a lot of money in (tour) merch these days. But tbh she should've negotiated that out. Its too late to cry now.
