I thought she was gaining inspo for her album, but it's actually for making the band. I wonder if she's starting her album process all over again or something

Maybe both.She told Pharrell  a lot of the stuff she recorded for the album doesn't "feel right".

I've always been curious as to what Bran's thoughts are about Monica's talent. She always says especially during the IABTM era that she had so much soul and power but has never gone out of her way to go into detail about what Monica offers artistically or vocally like Monica has Brandy.

I think their paths lead them in two different directions. Monica devoted her life to motherhood. Brandy is a craftsman. She's dedicated her life to her art in spite of everything.

I was thinking the same. I know Brandy was very supportive of Monica during the Still Standing era, but aside from that, she hasnt really praised a Monica song or album for that matter. As far as artistic growth and creativity with her sound, Monica hasnt really challenged herself or grown vocally since After The Storm.
