Fears over the coronavirus continue to wreak havoc across many arenas – including the live music business.

Indeed, over the last week concerts, premieres, and even festivals have been cancelled.

Now, Ciara is the latest name to pull the plug on a planned show.

CiCi, who is expecting her third child, was set to perform at the grand opening of the USO Fort Hood on March 19th in Texas. However, she has released a statement confirming the postponement of the gig. She explained:

"With the continued spread of the coronavirus throughout the U.S., as a pregnant woman, my doctors have advised me to limit travel and large group gatherings.

I am disappointed I won't be able to return this month to the place where I was born, Ft. Hood Texas, and put on the amazing show we had planned however I look forward to being able to bring it to you at a later date in 2020.

I want to thank the USO and the entire community at Ft. Hood for extending your hospitality to myself and my team. I urge everyone to be diligent in taking steps to stay healthy and safe!

They canceled the Arnold Sports Festival also with the athletes being the only ones permitted on site.

Spectators are allowed to be there Sunday but that's the time when they wrap shit up anyway.
