"promo" is quite subjective in both monicas and roberts cases....

they weren't thrown down people's throats, plastered on TV, advertised on ITunes, etc.

everything they did was pretty much based on their names alone. I didn't see a "big machine" behind either artist for their eras.

I can see if she was on Wendy, Good Morning America, Jimmy Fallon, Conan Live, Kelly and Mike, The View, performing at a few award shows, album commercials out the ass, singles all over the radio and blah blah blah.
