Wow Mon's are not only broke but also DUMB as fuck. Don't even know how to get a physical CD online.

:kii: :kii: :kii: :kii:

fd

why did rob only sell 30k?

Because it was a mixtape, there was no single, there was not a single interview during release week and many media outlets blacklisted him this time around.

But really there was no real single.

She could be doing a bit better if the label shipped  enough copies.

Being sold out the night of release is fucking tragic.

Don't care how u slice it. They did her dirty.
And that digital mess is a cop out excuse. Yes for us it seems like a good alternative. But for the older generation and people who don't have digital music (which is a majority of her fans) do not see it as such.
There's no reason why this is happening within hours of release.

If RCA did this to Ghan or one of your other favs you would be more empathetic to how disgusting this situation is.

She might as well not even be on a fckn label then! They didn't fund any videos, didn't help promote her album, barely shipped physical copies.

She might as well be fckn indie. She put together her own tour, I mean...

Ugh

FUCK RCA

MypuzzystanK

if all y'all are going up for "fanbase" sis was going to flop anyways, since when only fanbase purchase albums?

there is a shit load of music lovers who digitally purchase over going into a walmart or target d

this excuse, she was going to do these numbers regardless.. if they shipped 70k and she sold half, she has albums sitting on the shelves somewhere untouched and unbothered.

I agree, RCA could have done more for her, definitely.

But I really wanna know where you all are getting this information that says most of her fans don't have digital music???

Especially when you look at how active she is on social media.....I just don't see her catering to some geriatric fanbase.

Please provide sone kinda source or numbers that support this.

They aren't saying the hell with it. They're trying other locations and keep running into the same issue. Even wait a day or two and try again. If they don't but digital music and don't want a digital album, that's their preference. Some people are that way. And a lot of her fans are older and feel this way.

There was LITERALLY a billboard article namer her specifically as an artist that really only has physical sales.

She's not a digital artist. Sales and all. And I'm not saying that a good thing per say, but it is what it is.

It's in stock now and will arrive with the swiftness, I don't see the issue.

I only buy physical albums myself.

Billboard did their year-end reports a few years ago and mentioned something about Monica's strong physical sales.I'll see if I can find it.

Billboard article from 2010

Monica, together with Fantasia, shined attention on the still formidable buying power of urban adults when their new albums sold significant physical amounts in this increasingly download-fixated world.

!!!!! It's a difference between your preference being a physical copy and not having the means to purchase a digital copy. I guess her core fan base don't have smartphones.
