she slayed but i can never appreciate or enjoy these because its literally just study and emulation. theres none of her personal singing style and she don't even pretend to put any soul into it

97 was the beginning of her vocal decline. She relied on her BGVs quite a bit. And she couldnt really hit the notes. On top of that, MC sang the live renditions in a lower key.

2:20 onward was a struggle luv.

Dont get me wrong. This chick aint that good at all and her control is choppy as fuck, but its better live than MC live.
