Why all of the Molly hate? Issa irks me on this show. Molly shows progress, when Issa told Molly what she did wrong, she realized that there was some truth to what Issa told her. Again, with Andrew and her job, she's making progress.

Issa never listens to anything anyone says to her. I know a lot of Issas in my life and they annoy the fuck out of me. Molly was trying to help her the adult way, when her headliner backed out, but nah Issa just wants the easy way out of everything. I hate a person who not only always want help, but they want it on their terms.
God forbid Issa get the simple favor she asked for  :uhh:  how dare she

what? and what are all these favors and times where molly has come through for her? Issa purposely moved in with DANIEL - of all people - at one point to avoid living with Molly and depending on her for anything. Im really gonna need someone to jog my memory here because im not remembering all of these mysterious times Molly has thrown a cape on and saved the day.

Help me here

How did molly try to help, seriously

She was asking Issa if he had signed a contract, and if the payments were on time? She is a lawyer, she could have offered her legal help.

Issa is very immature in her dealings. Theres been times when Molly has tried to give her advice and Issa is like just give me what I need right now.

Molly is there for her, as much as she can be on television. Issa is needy AF, and she has stayed with Molly plenty on times. Issa is a person who need/want help on her terms and shes ungrateful. From baking her a pies that she don't show up to get, to coming to her charity every year and also it seems like Molly pays for most things when they go out.

Molly listens to Issa and that shows growth, Issa doesn't.

Neither of them deserve a badge for great growth or conflict resolution :dead:  let's be honest here

A contest of growth between the two of them is pointless  :kii: i wouldn't brag about either side

This is from the show runner:
Quote
"We always talk about the totality of the friendship. Not just right now. And so when we were looking at their friendship, we always look at the first season. Issa talked badly about their friend onstage and when Daniel popped up at the We Got Y'all Fundraiser while Lawrence was there, Molly ran interference."

Penny continued outlining the ways Molly has shown up for Issa, including driving her home from Malibu after a failed attempt at reconnecting with Lawrence, helping Issa with her Lyft job, and helping her with the wine down.

"Issa has always tricked Molly into doing things," he said. "There hasn't had to be a Molly hive until this season. That's not where the show is going in terms of its longevity. Then again, we aren't the ones creating hives on Twitter. So I wouldn't quantify that as a barometer."

Now, I know many of these things many people would just do because that's what being a good friend is about. However, Molly did set a boundary (although at a very lame time) but I mean, respecting your friend is respecting the boundaries even when you may not necessarily agree with them.

!!!!
They're both growing in different ways:
Molly-relationship
Issa-career

They can't help but to see each other as who they use to be before this new phase.

I actually understand a lot of this and can see certain things from her side. I don't think i would dispute any of what the show runner said here at all. My thing is, it doesn't absolve Molly from a lot of the mess she brings to their relationship and a lot of the mess that she enables and exacerbates as a result.

!!!!!!
Exactly. They BOTH have issues. Communication sucks between them.

SouravMay

Molly was right and honest to turn down the favor. Because Andrew might have gotten the wrong impression, and think all molly again cares about is work. However I don't think why went AWF when Andrew didn't mind and did the favor anyways. What kinda win-win.

KING! You know Kerry Washington directed episode 9, right? The episode before the finale. I bet they don't reconcile until that episode or the finale because Y'vonne (Molly) mentioned an emotional scene Kerry had to Direct her in

she said Kerry didn't use her acting and kept making her stop and start over :kii: "i don't BELIEVE YOU🗣🗣🗣 "
OMMMMF

LASH HER QUEEN

WOW  :gorlonfire:
