I like the sorry for my tardy long time I was broken hearted line- feels like she is apologizing to us for being gone for so long. Looks like this is possibly her just airing everything out kind of a "who I am" I suppose.

I really hope she explains the medicated and schizo lines seems like a lot of references to personality  disorders . She says after medicated that she's free to move .. so it's like is the medication helping her be in a better space? Would love for her to sit with  Oprah  Or even Charlemagne to truly  speak about all of this .

The melody just feels missing which is so unlike her because she's the most melodic singer I know.

! You can put Brandy on almost any mess, like that Lil Keed song, and she makes it sound "musical"

Brandy wrote Follow Me. Top 3 for me. Super flowy and melodic. So I have to believe that what she did here was indeed intentional. In the past she's always mentioned the songs she was crazy about. Play Wildest! Just give'em the intro!

Wait till y'all hear SO SICK OMMMM.

Her asking him to play this leads me to believe she thinks this is a standout. And it's not going to be. To me it's already a blemish on what is rightfully expected to be a glorious album. It can be conceptual all day. But make it GOOD. I can't just be satisfied with "she sounds!" "Her tone" "raspy!" "Vocals!" That's fkn great but I need a song. Good lyrics, good beat. Put it in interlude form if you dont want to structure it. If it's about mental health, make everything around it thematic. Be creative. Have the vocals pan and fade out like almost inaudible whispers. This lackluster beat and corny lyrics. Don't be tardy for the party. Candy! Rock without the boat! Clever! Thats my piece for the week.

Maybe this is an intro song à la Who I Am? Unconventional structure and addressing why she's been gone so long? The snip of I Am More sounds like a more traditional song structure (e.g. verse, chorus, verse, chorus). I don't think everything is going to have this choppy, stream of consciousness quality to it. The more I think about it the more it makes sense as an intro.

I get intro vibes

before release albums , Brandy never let people hear the standout tracks months before... i'm sure that one might not be the best from the album (if it's on it!) and for her to let him play it could be that she doesn't really care if we hear it.. y'all know how protective she is when it comes to her music and especially music she's about to release...

The song is definitely unorthodox and not the usual Brandy we hear. She's almost singing against the beat which I knew was something mentioned about her singing style on this album (maybe not on every song). I didnt feel it at first, but after listening a few times and getting to separate the chorus from the verses, I actually like it. I like that shes taking a risk and not just doing what we expect from her. If theres anytime to just be free and experimental with different sounds and approaches to songs, now is the time. No one's gonna LOVE the song off 1st listen. It's a grower. And it may more sense in context with the whole album.
