I honestly don't see why people would have, other than them being cute and of the opposite sex. That's not enough for me.

When two people are really good looking..seen together a few times and have good chemistry it's bound to happen being linked together

I think it w asin his interview with YKIGS, Gin said poeple assumed they wer emesisng or that the "Supafriends" hung out all the time but he really only saw Li at concerts, awards shows etc...they were friends but they weren't hanging out at the club lol.
