Smh that's a selfish act I'm sorry!! But you have a family at home an you end up killing yourself. I just hope her children are okay

Well if she could have thought about it rationally she probably would chose life..but obviously she was depressed or traumatized. She didn't have the power and when you read what she went through it is obvious why she gave up hope. Selfish sounds like she made a conscious decision, I really doubt that is how it works

how come when someone commits suicide, religion suddenly goes out the door

why no mention of her going to HELL

She was already in hell  :disgusted:
So what could be worst?
The concept of hell is just a way for religions to keep people in check anyways
It helped slavery a lot...so might have to rethink if hell is even real or just a mindgame

The mess isn't even as bad as it was and seems to be getting better

weak self

That is a disgusting comment
Do you know some people have to stay asleep for 4 weeks to recover?
People lose family/friends and can't even have a decent funeral
Patients can't have family/friends over, cant say goodbye and die alone
People get hire fevers and get hallucinations that can really cause emotional damage
People who had the virus still need to recover because their muscles became very weak, some have to learn to walk again
Patients have a great risk of ptsd and burnout
Doctors who help patients often have to live separated from their family, encountered more patients/deaths than 9/11, have to wear protective gear that is really painful for the face

The list continues
This is not a joke

Which makes if even more selfish and weak that she took her own life while so many people are fighting to live.

So sad

I can't even imagine what she went through seeing patient after patient AND catching the mess

I also read about covid reportedly causing neurological issues in some people

Killing yourself is the least selfish thing you could do I mean when your life is over it is over. It is not like she is sitting in heaven chilling eating popcorn watching Netflix.

Yes it is of course weak but corona is a destroyer. So anyone who gets it and people who have to deal with patients will be affected. If you look at the context I think anyone would feel overwhelmed.

Tell that to her family that has to mourn her and the thousands of people who are on their death bed fighting for their lives

Suicide is never the answer
It is horrible
But to say she was selfish, to talk bad about her is harsh. She tried to save lives, she is a hero tbh.

And it is easy to quote without the full context. Because if you quote like that it's like I'm saying suicide is a sacrifice. I'm saying she was ill and suicide in her mind was the only option. It is sad for her and her family. It should have never happened. She should've been home recovering. Instead she felt pressured to work.

Where do you live, would you like to come to work in my ICU with me? I can certainly show you what is bad and what is not bad?

Some things are just not funny.

May her soul find peace. This is such a WAR and it is relentless and you can feel helpless when you are unable to save your patients especially when they are young and they die by themselves in isolation. It weighs on you.

The fact that so many of me and my colleagues are risking our own lives on the daily for idiots like yourself and those that are still having sex parties in Atlanta definitely contributes to the mental strain; because you feel like things will never get better.

because deep down these "Christians" know these rules and scriptures they follow are ridiculous and only use them when it's convenient.

like when trying to protest against homos etc

if her family is religious and REALLY followed the Bible they would announce to everyone at the funeral that she was a nice woman even though she's currently burning in hell

that will NEVER happen though  :disgusted:

I have so much respect!
Doctors are trying so hard to save lives..and also have to deal with the risk of getting corona yourself..that must be so difficult
