A lot of people who are REALLY urban seem to think Monica sing better...One of my best friends said she was gonna have a poll at her house, I said for what all your people come from a certain demographic.

Then I asked her what a run is, she couldn't tell me and said when you run through songs and go to the next. That's when I said you don't know music or have an ear so you can't judge because you don't know shit.

If Brandy play her songs and sing them she will win. She has the better voice and people will be like damn she can sing. Monica can sing too but she can't emote like Brandy. Remind these niglets queen..

This is a business decision, and bigger than some online fan beef. Both of their catalogs will re-chart and it will allow Brandy to reconnect with the GP going into a new era. Not sure why this is so hard to grasp.

I had the same concern, but honestly, they have about the same number of hits in total. And it all depends on how it's setup. Last night was a mixture of both, which is another reason why people weren't trying to take score.  Plus they've already had battles with less than 20 songs

At the end of the day, some ppl are gonna want them to battle and some ppl arent. That decision is up to them. If they battle, aint nothing y'all can do about it. Just like this "beef" made The Boy Is Mine the biggest hit of their career, this #Verzuz match will also get ppl talkin about Brandy's album and if Monica was smart, she would release a single too. 

But yeah, if they wanna do it, they will do it despite our opinions.

I think another reason why this is great for them both is because of this new generation. They tend to always give our living legends a Flop! Has-been! title just because they aren't topping the charts now. Remind these niggas of your legacy. If it ain't on some Jill vs Erykah, then they need to keep it. Brandy and Monica are not friends, and are not in a place where they can sit there and gush over each others catalogs. Even with the Teddy battle it was genuine love, minus his show boy antics. Truthfully I would love to see it, but the fans and honestly the two of them, are not on that page.

You're not the only one. After last night, I feel better that the two could curate a celebratory experience if they put their heads together beforehand. The public and the media outlets would be the problem.

It was nice to see that when some were asking who won the Badu/Jill battle, people were pouncing and replying, "no one, both, black women, we all did, etc."...they let Elliott Wilson HAVE IT....lol...at least from the perspective of my twitter timeline.
