Actually, gay people used to be subjected to electroshock therapy, put in mental institutions, arrested just for being who they are. Did you know that until 2001 there were sodomy laws in place just for gay people. Yes, up until nearly 15 years ago, a gay man could be arrested for sodomy for no reason at all. Even now, in some states you can still lose your job just for being gay. Gay people were raped and even murdered just for being who they are. There are actually parallels between the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement. Please research and read up on gay history and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. There even gay conversion therapy where parents would take their gay child to a therapist and said therapist would strap them in a chair and force them to watch videos of naked women or naked men to turn them straight. Until the 1970's homosexuality was considered an actual mental illness. Let a lot of us would've been around in the 1950's and 1960's we would either be in a psych ward or dead. This is true stuff that I'm speaking of. Transgender people even had it just as bad. Watch the movie Boys Don't Cry with Hillary Swank about the true story of Brandon Teena. Hell, does the name Matthew Shepard ring a bell to some of you? If not, use google to your advantage and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

You'll do anything to defend the whites
No it's not about whites/blacks. It's the same struggle no matter what race they are. The Stonewall riots is a prime example: You want to know who actually was one of the first people to fight the police back that night in 1969? A black gay man dressed up in drag as a drag queen. So it's not about race. I'm saying that the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement are very similar. We as gay people are classified as a sexual minority just like transgender people and even bisexual people. So it's not about defending white people at all. Some people are dense.
Both the LGBT+ community and black community have been through some terrible shit but centuries of slavery across the globe and a monolithic oppression and degradation of African descendants is just a tad more despicable, me thinks. In fact, I'm willing to say no group of people has gone through worse treatment then black people.
Ok, maybe Jews, but even then...
I just don't think a white gay is going through the same struggle as a black gay. We can stand together for the same rights but at the end of the day that blonde, pink skinned, lisping queen is a few steps ahead of me in terms of outlooks.
