I remember actually most ppl hated Wildest because the full song sounded nothing like the "Nevuh-uh" part that was in the snippet
and thought it would be a bad single, which it was
great song IMO though, just beautiful

The only thing I remember is folks fuming they chose that over DYK 

not anyone just outright hating it

I've always kept that same sentiment about Wildest Dreams. 
I don't like the song. And I hated it as a second single. 
Im in the minority. I know that.
