I've been stashing my coin for the past year, or so and due to this pandemic...I've been able to save thousands.

Anyway, I've started to look for some homes to BUY.

This one is three bedrooms and a STEAL at only £140,000. I could really fix it up, I can already imagine the cream and black front I'd give it. There's also a decent sized garden in the back. I'm going to be smart and buy a property that I can renovate so that it accrues in value.
I used to dream of living in an apartment when I was a teenager, but it just doesn't seem...smart.

You can't buy an apartment freehold, so after X amount of years, ownership reverts back to the person who actually owns the land the building is on.

Just not a smart investment for me, personally.
But who here owns a house, what advice can you give?
