This is bigger than George. And voting alone isn't the solution.

I agree with you. But voting HELPS. Do you think the Republicans give a fuck about all the marching and heehawing going on? Even if the Dems don't give a fuck either, they're at least pretending to. The House has been passing Bills aimed at Criminal Justice Reform and other police reforms, that have sat on Mitch McConnel's desk and will continue to sit there. You know why? The police Unions and all those big Unions like them almost always vote Republican. They see any criticism of the police as a criticism against themselves.

The fight to dismantle institutional racism starts with electing the right people. At the local level, at the State level and nationally. It's not the only way to fight this shit, but it's one of the tools in the arsenal.

Shuji bby.

Our system is broken beyond the voting. It's the way the system is actually set up.

liberals and Dems are really some fckd up ppl as well, who just decided to use blacks to fight republicans

In a perfect world all blacks would vote independent :dead:

due to numbers the alliance with Dems has proved useful, but every single time we get somebody in office they take baby steps or try to keep blacks calm!

I love Obama to death. But he played the game too. We can't have anymore of that.

Hope Biden knows he has to do something or it's lights out.

Opposites Attract.

He should just shut the fuck up and ate his food. This isn't about you brother.

i mean yall are being hard on him .. his brother was just MURDERED.. let him vent a bit

I definitely hear what you're saying. We agree more than we disagree. I'm just highlighting because I've been seeing on social media people trying to use this moment and people's legitimate anger to suppress the black vote. I'm just always wary of that. Having Trump and these Republican in control of shit will hurt the effort of reform way more than it will help.

Fuck you AND him. How about that. This is why Black Men are at the fucking bottom. Imagine, all the other family members of Police brutality speaking out in support of the  revolt and this coon getting on TV saying this.

um ... ppl literally forgot about Breonna and did nothing. His family has 10 million and her family barely got 125k. I'd say he needs to stfu and embrace all the support he's getting

This is more than George Floyd. Everybody in this situation is opportunistic if we're being honest.

We've seen a video of cops SHOOTING black boys, and this is the second death by suffocation on cam.

It's not just about his brother :dead:

oph.

i'm not gonna condemn him for this. he just lost his brother in one of the most traumatic ways possible. i doubt he's thinking straight ot thinking about anything other than his loss at the moment.

also to his point (possibly lost in translation) destroying BLACK communities is indeed counterproductive and extremely stupid.

loot and riot in the places where we aren't hurting our own.

Opposites Attract.

I'd agree with the destroying Black neighborhoods part if Black people owned property in those neighborhoods.

!!!!!!

Marg this whole tragedy is really making us closer huh

Wow, who would've thought

oph.

i don't feel that ownership should be a determining factor on whether or not our communities are protected. owning or renting, they still live there and should be protected particularly since the aim of the looting and protesting is to stop the destruction of black lives and communities.
