strange. but not getting transphobia from this.
she's said much worse but i was admittedly too lazy to dig

i don't think she's hateful btw, just, dismissive and tone deaf. That's all. I think many people can be transphobic or homophobic and not even realize it sometimes. Some people express their displeasure with trans folks in different ways i suppose

i just think we as society have gotten comfortable with using "phobics" in situations where they do not apply. i get what youre saying. for me this just seems like she has a certain opinion on the trans community that they do not seem to agree with. that is not what transphobia is. just in reference to what was posted tho, im ignorant to any other comments shes made on the community.

The shit is transphobic. Y'all can honestly find numerous ways to justify her uninformed statement but it's transphobic Expressing your unwarranted opinion rooted in everything outside of fact is that you're a mere spectator. The only folk who have agency to speak on trans experience is trans folk. You're either standing in solidarity with the community or you're an oppressor.  The fact that she later on states she endorsed trans folk to live their authentic lives says that she knows what she's about to say is going to be controversial as hell. Bottom line: she could have just been quiet and tipped like a lot of folk.

everyone has their opinion and feel strongly in it. i get that. i'll just leave it at this

transphobia
: irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against transgender people

this is what transphobia is. we have to learn how to disagree with someone without labeling them something that's not accurate by definition out of frustration. it may be an uninformed opinion and i can certainly understand the frustration of feeling like an outside source is trying to dictate to you what you know. i totally get it. it just isn't transphobia.

In other words, thus I am outsider expressing my non consensual opinion about how someone chooses to lead their lives but that doesn't make me fearful at all, just willfully nescient? Got it. 👌🏿 Y'all find any means to give reason to keep your foot on someone's neck huh?  :kii:

It is interesting that some people would like people to see trans women as WOMEN..

fighting and looking for that inclusion is kinda odd to me.
there should be beauty in knowing you are extraordinary

trans Women rights should be different than women rights. It's a totally different path imo

am I tripping?
You aren't trippin. Every trans woman is different

Thats what the transphobic girls on this board and everywhere else are still failing to come to terms with. Some view themselves as women, and some will put trans in front of it when they introduce themselves. Like anyone else, they aren't a monolith.

It's not about being "Woke", either, Baph  :dead:  Im certainly not trying to impress Bsource. I just have
trans friends and am sensitive to the topic and their feelings. They're human like everyone else

I skip over the jokes and rarely try and police that on here btw, cuz I've participated in MANY other wild and harmful jokes and have cackled at em, :kii:   so i aint tryna be the woke police. That ain't even my personality

i don't think someones differing opinion makes them "fearful", nor do i think this particular statement is oppressive in any way. there is no need to incorrectly label her as transphobic in order to justify anger and annoyance at her opinion. thats all.

I did come with the "rah rah" huh? My apologies, I just want everyone to be clear with themselves between having an opinion and being oppressive. There's a difference and the trans community has been the bunt of everyone's harm.

I mean she needs to get a hobby but I don't think she has any actual hatred against trans ppl. People on twitter acting like she's promoting violence or something.
