Black publications like Jet, Ebony and Essence need major reinventing, it'll be hard for a new black magazine to pop because reader ship is at its lowest across the boards, and it would be harder to support because it wouldn't have the "esteem" as longer established ones

tea

I noticed some people also put a black spin on the challenge

Some of the Twitter girls were saying the challenge is giving Vogue free promo. I kinda agree..

Dr Naomi Campbell

True
But I think it's also highlighting a lot of black photographers and models too

The VOGUE challenge is giving the girls more REACH.  Look at the one with the black guys I posted. 66k RTs versus those.

and im sorry but those photos are terrible especially that last one.

What about if it was done digitally?

Jet is now a digital magazine, but it still sucks :dead:
It's still giving very much mid 90s in it's appeal
Digital could work, but the thing that makes Vogue...is the look and feel of it, flicking through the actual pages, the cover being epic enough to be set on your coffee table.
It's almost like a piece of furniture and a collectors item :dead:
If Essence and Ebony were to go digital it would really have to dig deep and transform its platform to warrant you flicking through it's pages online
