How many stories of artists have we heard about their labels, management A&R etc? It sounds like she had to fight just to get her solo deal
Didn't her fans say they made her re-record the album?
She already gave a solid showing with Motivation, who's to say she won't do it again?

There's always way more to it. It's just unfortunate that she didn't have her big debut moment the way she should have and the way she clearly prepared for.

You only get one first impression and one first single for a debut album. No matter WHAT happens, it's all been a little tainted for her. Perception in this business is all that matters

We see artists get dragged on this forum and on twitter allllll the time for things that sometimes was never in the Artist's hands and people have no idea. It sucks but that's what comes with it

i just wonder sometimes how much of what she's done, she actually wanted to do herself. She can say certain things in interviews, but i have a feeling years from now, she'll come out and say she wasn't allowed to do a myriad of things and never really wanted whatever the powers that be view as a "popstar".

Oh i definitely agree with that    WHATEVER the reason is, she certainly isn't the type of girl that can build anticipation by being away for a long while.

No one with a brain can dispute any of what you've said, but can she recover? i don't know. All it takes is a hit or two, but they can't afford to keep using her as an experiment, putting single after single out.

'Motivation' wasn't even her first offering. She can't afford to do another stop and start the next time
