I highly doubt most of these complaints would be the way they are if brandy simply put out music since she says she still loves it

Do you think brandy doesn't have the ability to do what Jojo did?  Of course she does.   So you have to think why hasn't she?  She isn't comfortable

The lashing that just took place has me clutching my pearls, the gworl went off! Although I dnt agree w/ everything the truth was spoke. When you love Bran so deep and know that she deserves and is capable of so much more then yes her failures do feel like a part of us b/c we want her to win. I agree, I would never have even announced an album until at least 3 videos were shot and my visuals and roll out were done and A1. It's been 8 years, we shouldn't be lucky to be getting anything..we waited for this! You can't love the music and not be ready for the business and that excuse is late she can do so much more that doesn't even require all the business...esp b/c she isn't on a major label.

People have a right to complain and have an opinion. People express it differently but Glock is an actual Stan and knows what she's capable of so i understand this energy

But it's the random people that comment and throw in their lil jabs, and i think a few people on this forum notice it. That may be where some of the "omg all you guys do is complain" mess comes from, that obviously just ends up making every thread worse. We shouldn't police each other, myself included. You feel how you feel and that's fine, but some of the other girls just don't use Brandy at ALL and should just say that i promise it's ok 

People that were never fans, finding an opportunity to really state how they feel about her.

It's a forum so it's good to see that people still care and she still has fans like Glock that won't accept less than what they know she can give. I think someone like Brandy would actually appreciate his truth and she says she prefers that type of honesty all the time (i watch every interview).

Brandy has been dealing with legal and mental health issues so I think she deserves some understanding on how the last 8 years have gone.

I don't always agree with her business decisions and her visuals, but she's the artist not me. The goals you may have for her is clearly not what she wants for herself. And you can choose to either support or not based on who she is, not what you want her to be. Everyone has that choice.

We do not know what's better for her than she does. We are not with her everyday...we really don't know this woman on a personal level or truly understand the inner workings of her career.  So it's futile and unfair to lash her based on assumptions.

At the present moment she has done two videos and her album is definitely coming out in two weeks. The past is the past. If you don't like her looks and artistic direction you make up the small percentage of Brandy fans who even give a shit about that anyway. Stop making your issue everyone's issue.

Both sides of the argument can make some sense, but the folks mad about voicing their opinions because it's not PRAISE don't really understand that is NOT the way artists go about bettering their work or art. Business either. Critiques are necessary. "These aren't critiques! They hate her! Let her live! She is gonna do her!" Save it.

also, if brandy "doesn't care about business" and only "cares about the music" we would have gotten 3 to 4 mixtapes or EPs the past 8 years. She also wouldn't be promoting this album at all if that were the case. I always say go all the way if you're gonna do it.

Now as far as being positive in here, Queen is just days away from blowing us the fuck away with this album. Her voice is in tip-top shape and her smile is radiant. We are also in the process of getting a video that actually represents the album's work. Though she has slacked in some areas, she is also doing a LOT right.

I think vocally and artistically, Brandy generally shits on most. So everything about her from her aesthetics to video treatments to promo should reflect that. I get what you mean about it not QUITE being comparable. She deserves more...not to us, but for herself. She deserves the best EVERYTHING.
