I saw her on Broadway, tried to see her in DC at the Kennedy Center, and saw her in Cali for Femme It Forward. I've been excited about this release for a long time and I have the right to be disappointed if it doesn't sound professionally mixed

Everytime my ringtone went off ppul started boppin and everything in the mix came thru very well that is a very well mixed and mastered song and album and seing as tho most of the vocals are stereo and my cell phone Galaxy S6 does not have a sterwo speaker and it knocks and its clear and crisp like that baybeeeeeeee

There is a difference between poor mixing choices creatively and poor mixes technically

I usually speak from technical pov because mixing is an art
Right eq
Compression
Phasing
Mono compatibility
And recording signal chain
Mic transparency
Noise reduction
Etc


Take bm for instance for the chorus she definetly tried to recreate put it down from a mixing standpoint

They over used or boosted the high end too much without considering the other frequencies that were layered in with Pid to acheave that crisp but rich and full sound
The chorus falls apart on various systems because of that
