SAML was ruined with the softer vocals. I've tried time & time again to let go of the version Camper played to truly give the album version a chance, but I can't. Which is sad cause it could easily been one of my favs if they just left it alone.

Went back to listen to the leaked version and it's def better with the clear more pronounced vocal. The lyrics land much better and the tone fits the energy of the track.

The demo version is  waaay better her vocals aren't as strong as the final.

Ughhhh this fucking demo version needs to be released!!!!! The one on Denali page is giving me anxiety the vocals are tooo sick. Talk about stomach ache vocals!!!! Why are her demos better than the final cut

Lol puuur!! I feel like Brandy needs to release an album of demos cuz it's like she's usually more unleashed on them.  That Rather be and Saving demo vocals hit different !! It's like her shit be scaled back and turned down lower on the final. I need these vocals turned tf up so we not playing detective.

I need to listen again but In the booth it's like she was referencing CAN WE the way she sang the part. I thought this song was referencing her old song titles let me get my life... I do love it on the album but nothing beats brandy just attacking a song and adlibbing for filth .
