I literally cried when I  listened while reading the lyrics. I hope those who vote for the grammys actually dig in and don't just listen for an instant HIT. This album needs to be analyzed beyond just a melody.

That combined with the video is so powerful definitely had me in my feelings.

This really is one of the defining songs of her career, and for that alone, this album can sit behind Full Moon and Afro for me.

When you think about it, every album before Human had those defining, standout songs that make Brandy, BRANDY.

No shade to Human or 2/11, while there were moments, and maybe the albums were cool as a whole, there weren't any standout tracks that really screamed BRANDY, the kind of songs that can be added to a fan's personal canon.

BORDERLINE is that song.
