I dont think there's any beef between Bran & Rodney
he had recently done quite a few interviews talking about Bran and how dope she is
and their work together, and Bran said she would get back in with him
I just think he wants to do a WHOLE ALBUM and Bran doesn't

I think at one point Bran was annoyed that if she created a sound with Rodney - he'd just use that sound with someone else. 
There seemed to be mistrust there in the past. At least that's the vibe I got. 

I also think Rodney was jealous that Brandy ended up with his cousin and had a baby.
