I always heard that Down 4 Whatever was intended for Brandy. Now THAT makes sense. It even sounds like she's trying to give Brandy Full Moon vocals...maybe that's why I use

Brandy also recorded this song as well. I actually would have prepared Brandy on that track. Her lows would have been immaculate.

She's singing that way because Lashawn Daniels vocal produced it. He's relentless when it comes to adlibs and u can hear his style all up and through the verses, along with that
Michael Jackson influenced vibrato. 

Of course Brandy's Adlib style and similar choices can be heard on this record (even the way the adlibs are timed) but you can say that about a lot of records. Her style gets used by many people
that don't even know they're doing what she and Lashawn made popular.
