I guess I see where you all are coming from. They are not too bad I guess, it's just recently Epic has been lacking in the female R&B department for me promotional and push wise. If she were to sign with a major, I would love it to be a Republic or Atlantic honestly, labels that consistently promote their artists well. But hey, whatever the case is new Brandy music is always welcome wherever it's coming from.

Republic is horrible for female rnb check their roster and track record

I mostly was referring to Republic in terms of their consistent promo for their artists. Their roster obviously lacks a solid female R&B artist, but then again that could be great to have her be the only front runner of that field on Republic. Of course, just a thought though. I mostly love Atlantic currently, but I know Brandy and Atlantic have their past too, so...  :dead:

Republic is the same label that refused to allow Kelly Rowland to drop a single while on Xfactor and then turned around and did the same thing with Nicki Minaj by preventing her from performing and promoting while on Idol.

They're trash! They're rooster is trash.

She's better of independent, with an amazing management team.

I don't think this is true
I know for a fact there were several meetings with epic

She better not sign with Epic, they treat their R&B artists (for example Tamar and Ciara) poor in contrast to the other aritsts if you ask me. She deserves a label who would really push her content or stay independent.

Ciara can't sell an album to save her flop life, but she gets
promo & singles downe. I'm all for Brandy getting with them.

that Ciara with plenty of videos thing is true, tho. If that is Epic's work/money, then.... hey, Id like Bran on there, lol.

And if Epic has new executives now, then Im fine with that label again, since its a whole new team.

About Atlantic.... they havent done anything with Jojo this time, and she is young, white and doing pop, so... not sure with Bran going back there :/

I'm fine with Atlantic, once they don't give ha the Sevyn Streeter treatment.

Epic is actually good

Tamar had creative issues with the label this era

True. And she was too busy doing other things including The Real and that caused the promo for the music to suffer.
or maybe no one cared anymore once the hype from her foolery on the braxtons died down.

she capitalized off the success of the reality show and it worked for L&W.

if she had a solid following they would have purchased. R&B fans follow their favs' moves.

Because the promo ect falls on them
Brandy has enough money to fund her own project, she could do a international tour to recoup money ect

Additionally, I want Brandy on a major mostly because I want her to be able to get her songs on radio and etc.

Indie artist struggle with that. I'm not ready for that and hopefully neither should you. Im all down for a label, just as long as she keeps this team; I have no doubts she'll be fine. I mean the team has promoted the fuck outta every project she's done since she's been with them. I don't think the music will be any different.

I agree.

However, the singles from Love and War were better. Within 3 weeks of Love and War, the song, being released, she had 3 televised performances. She booked Fallon, Regis and Kelly, Today Show, GMA, 106, did a big radio tour, etc. She was all over. With this new album, she performed once on Wendy and The Real. And her singles did poorly on the charts. The era lacked direction, a theme, and was just overall, real messy.

Maybe for just distribution ...

martian

If you expect ANY label to provide exceptional promo for any R&B artist in 2016... I really don't know what to say to you lol

Angel In Disguise

If she is independent then why isn't "Beggin & Pleadin"  on iTunes?  My friend from high school has a song on iTunes.  Lord knows she can't sing and 3 people bought it, but it's there.

I don't think Brandy is independent.

Bish

Do ya'll not want Brandy to be independent because you fear the lack of support she will get when her album is released, or because you feel it is a bad look?

Brandy can get signed- that is not the issue. I'm all for her making the best business decision.

Epic really ain't too bad. They played a big part in Love and War's success. And even Tamar's new project had 3 music videos before the album even came out. Bran ain't had that since the 90s. As for Ciara, Epic really gave Ci a big budget during the 'Ciara' era. This Jackie era was not as bad. I mean, after all the money they put into the Ciara era and to get back small returns, she's lucky to get what she got from them.
gor, shut the fuck up actin like you know some shit
