Monk

could have been such a watershed moment in Brandy's career but was so poorly managed

single choices (taol? Rlly?)

hot tracks left off the final album

image/styling (Kim k belonged somewhere in a dumpster tbqfh)

ugh

Monk

I love WS2U but it would have only worked with a hotter first single taking off

and how did they leave gems off this album

like honey and adios

and why did they dress her in those rags and faux sexy attire.. bran was sexy just looking natural and exotic. Why didn't they work with that??

Monk

fuming here

and Tim didn't give a legit HIT like he did with other artists after working on Afro

:unbothered:

Le Champ

No lie....I revisited the album and she shat tbh
For a while, b7 was in my top 3 but Afro said HOLD TF UP and took up that last spot, rightfully so.
Everything about that era felt inauthentic BUT the music. I agree...they just made some terrible choices.

Two Eleven could've also been a moment for Bran. The music wasn't as great as Afro, but they messed up the second single. The image and performances were definitely there tho.  She could've had a solid 3 or 4 hits if they played it right.

TAOL was played everywhere from what I remember. People young and old were 2-stepping to it. I still like the song and moments from the video.

There were a number of noteworthy potential singles though. Afrodisac as an international single?? I guess, but that video was a little cringey. Probably attributed to why I didn't care for the song.

ppl hate on the afro video but i loved it ... i love seeing bran dance and afro the single was a hit internationally.

Not making Afrodisiac an american single  was a mistake
she wind up performing it here anyway

but definitely her more eclectic album most of the tracks werent  of the times perse so

the whole era was a toss up no safe picks

shoulda beeen 5 singles

this 2 single formula is so annoying AND  DATED

TAOL never got played on the radio ONCE here. Afrodisiac was the first Brandy era where I never heard her on the radio..... not even WIS2U with Usher.

PID was EVERYWHERE. I even heard Right Here on pop radio a few times.

FUCK Bey

Nodding Off should've been the lead single... and on the fucking album. :uhh: It's catchy, it's radio friendly, and it kinda follows in the steps of What About Us. Where You Wanna Be should've and would've been the PERFECT 2nd/follow up single too. And THEN TAOL as the 3rd single.

FUCK Bey

Also, y'all think Afrodisiac would've been a hit in the states?
