saw these tweets and it made me think of that instance where the driver popped up on a customer at her job for lying about the delivery (vidya below for those who missed it)

these people need to be punished in some way
maybe not locked up, but LONG hours of community service or something

this is ultimately theft of service.
and it's one thing for it to just impact a big company directly, but it's directly impacting the drivers (many of whom are Black and are probably struggling financially)

they obviously think it's cute and funny.

if you have an issue with the fees associated with ordering ur meal...find another carrier or...OR...
get ur ass up and out the house to grab ur own meal from the restaurant of ur choice! lol. where they have cameras and u can't claim someone handed you an empty carton.

that is so fucked up. for the drivers ...forget about the company itself

imagine going about ur day doing ur job and randomly being accused of theft
that has to be fucking stressful, traumatic....

this is a livelihood for many people. and it's never fun when ur personal ethics are called into question, regardless of what type of job you have.

people are so selfish. it's actually quite angering to me.
but maybe they don't realize how this affects everyone involved.

they most likely just see it as giving DoorDash the middle finger.

from what i understand you get strikes so if it happens times many times in a certain period u can be suspended.

and also the company won't keep refunding you. they're on to game. its really not that outta control.

well if it's a genuine complaint that's understandable.

some of these restaurants really do be fucking up sometimes
i'm not a huge complainer so as long as it's not a TOTAL fuck up i'll let some things slide.

but i don't expect everyone to be as "nice" as i am.
ultimately it's their job to get things right

I know you said this isn't a big, widespread issue

but here is a Black doordasher saying she only did TWO deliveries one day

and one of them were reported as "not delivered".
that ratio, paired with what im seeing on Twitter, doesn't tell me this is a very small pocketed issue.

if anyone reading this thread is doing this mess, please stop.
this is how it affects innocent people. many of whom are from our community just tryna make ends meet.

DoorDash sent her an email basically threatening to snatch her job away.

this is a form of trauma - especially for those who rely on DoorDash as their primary source of income (which is a population i'm sure has grown since many people have lost their jobs from COVID)

it's not OK. don't try to make an excuse for inflicting it.

anyway, sometimes if it takes my food too long to come I report like one item missing or say a tea was made incorrectly and they give you a voucher mess. Give the good driver a review and VOILA!
