This girl aint black? Now THAT'S the issue. Idgaf about her saying he wanna a yellow bone because shit most of these niggas DO  :dead:
but that is a problem is it not?

no. y do u care
I dont care, but in the context of the discussion there clearly an issue with how light skin is perceived as more beautiful especially in our community
aren't you a Kelly stan?

yes i am. and as someone who stans the darker gors in general, other peoples' preference id of no concern to me. furthermore, preference and the perception of light skin being more beautiful has nothing to do with the subject being discussed at hand. the issue is this girl appropriating black culture.
but isn't she also slighting darker skinned black women by saying her light skinned IS the preference?
I mean not only is she appropriating black culture across the board, she's also at the same time enforcing that stereotype and mindset that lighter skinned women are the pinnacle of beauty in the black community for men
It's kind of a double insult

It's just a super sensitive topic in the community

This. And in 2021 there's no excuse.

She deserves every lashing she gets :ohwow:
basically.

part of being Black is loving and protecting one another
being sensitive to one anther's plight.

a black woman would have definitely thought twice about the message a song like that would send. or better yet, what it reinforces.

we see fas releasing "brown girls" even though she's not one of them.

of course she has every right to love her lighter skin, but she thinks further than herself.
that's what true love for ur people looks like.

i'm all for people of other backgrounds having fun with hip hop. especially if its done right
but know wtf ur doing and watch ur step.

no. if that is the song, she is saying HER dude want a yellow bone. she appropriated. thats bad enough. no need to reach for extra points.

ATLien

the issue is both tbh.

she could be "appropriating" the culture in another way, but no one would have cared about her spitting a hot 16 if she wasn't releasing a whole song about black men wanting yellow bones.

the content of the song is obviously part of the issue and what has brought more attention to her walking into the rib shack without an invite.

if she was about to release a song rapping about how big her breasts are i highly doubt it would be getting this attention. so it's def both.

Yh Jayda your always right
:receipts:

its only an issue for the triggered brigade who try to make themselves victims in every situation. if she was sayin he like dem skinny gors, some fats would be up in arms. always gonna be that lil section. but on the grand scale, if she were actually black this wouldn't even be a conversation.

ccccvv don't know how u got that from my statement  :dead:

again, if she were black this wouldn't even be a conversation. therefore the only issue is her appropriation.

ATLien

you're saying the only issue is appropriation while acknowledging that people are also "triggered" by the content.

doesn't make much sense to me but i'll let u rock  luv. ur the only one whos right lol

so stop fckn questioning me

and again... as i stated, lol... these are the people that go out if their way to try and make themselves victims. there's no real issue there. just them trying to create one.

now turn to page 3 in ur workbook for some exercises fggt
