People are going to compare lol
Two black female artists doing R&B of course we're gonna want some of what Jazmine been cooking for Brandy too
But with Brandy getting the business side of things in a row this era with making her most successful iconic projects available for mass consumption Moesha and Cinderella..
Who knows that could be her doing the Super Bowl next year  :dead:

People are using Jazmines success to throw shade. That's my point. Not speaking about this post in particular... but in general it's being done.

Jazmine is on a major label and singing about topics Brandy would never touch. The material (which is good) created hype across social media, which sold the EP.

It's Jazmines time but that's never gonna diminish what Bran accomplished this era.

FRANCE

People are gonna compare? They shouldnt know. Jazmine and Brandy arent even from the same era.

Now if Monica, Toni, Kelly Rowland, Mary J, etc were booking all these gigs, sure. I would definitely compare then. Jazmine is still working on a song in her catalogue that is iconic as Brandy's first single 25 years ago. Jazmine should be compared to Jhene, Summer, SZA, HER, those girls. Not Brandy.

I have no idea why brandy and jazmine keep getting mentioned in the same sentence

jazmine is nowhere near touching brandy's career and success with that being said i am so proud of jazmine's success cause lord knows how much she's worked for this

The reason I compare is cause Jazmine & Brandy are both artist that tend not to "engage" with pop culture (TikTok, twitter, IG) unless they have to. So if theres' anyone I expected to just throw her album online and disppear after one or two performances it was Jaz; yet she's gave us a great concept album, visuals and a string of performances.

maybe they're using B7 as a stepping stone for bigger things
Jazmine had the best era in her career yet so it's makes sense for her to be booking all these gigs.
As much as B7 has the critical acclaim and universal praise it's doesn't have enough commercially to book all these gigs we want her to be booking.
She's def moving into legacy artist territory

And that's it.

As much as I love B7, it didn't produce any commercial hits... and she was still more present than she's ever been since the 2000's.

The Jazmine comparisons and shade gotta stop.

!!!!

I actually think Bran's next era is gonna be >>>

I believe that too

For brandy to come back with music after 8 years and getting to perform on stages like bbma's I can only imagine how big the next era is going to be

Purple Moon

I don't like this performance, I feel like the music should've been louder, I could barely hear it. Also I prefer her with a live band!
Must be a purple moon, feel like one of those nights...
