I. Hate. Monica.

Yeah I don't care for his music but I doubt I'm his target audience. Love that he's about to set the homophobes on fire tho

Do you guys think it's too much, too soon or that the whole superfag thing is a gimmick?
I think it's a turn off from ppl who aren't super fans, which is fine if he wants to cater to "this" audience. I guess you would say the twitter stans lol

but ... now I just see him as an ENTIRE troll, so I think musically, he's gonna find it hard to climb back to relevancy.

I think he's making a huge mistake doing all this shit tbh. The industry uses young boys like him up.

nnn trolling is what got him here in the first place. Troll Town Road guys. This is on brand. He plateaued with OTR, and now he's just "there." Mediocre music can't break what isn't really built. he's the type of artist who serves one purpose and I'm sure he understands it

Artists make calculated career choices to rise to superstardom. This girls first, wack ass single is the biggest song ever ain't it? He made his mark.

Dr Naomi Campbell

And it must hard for him figuring how to represent blackness queerness on screen with all these people in his ear telling him how far he should push it
He's only 19 at the end of the day and he's seems as though he has a a lot confidence  than a lot more older black gay men so I can only give him prope

Cartierline

Yeah I don't think he's trying to give artiste tbh

His whole schtick is shock value. Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah there's a reason Black men are discouraged from "coming out". This will ultimately hurt his career.

All I know is that he definitely should've rode the Trap Country (Old Town Road) wave a bit further. He was considered wholesome to young kids with that song but this new image, it's a complete 180.
I get that he wants to be this trailblazer but unfortunately as a black man especially a gay one in Hip-Hop, you have to play the game for a bit. Add in that his songs are very meme-y and don't show much artistry to back up the imagery, he's going to burn out if things don't change.

People are hyping this up and while the song's cool, queer co-signs are not enough to carry his career.

I honestly don't think his/his team's goal from the beginning was to become a pioneer for gay black hip hop artists.
Like you said, he seems to be just in the mess for memes and shocking imagery.
