Did any of this help the song chart on the hot 100?
We won't find out until next week

Expected to debut in the Top 5 though.

:justabit:
Ok.

To even use the logo is stupid, Nike should sue them. There is not going to be any profit..combining Nike with the word Satan alone could cause damage to the brand

Oh and next time try not to steal ideas from FKA Twigs. The vid was very creative but I didn't like that he copied her. Cellophane took years to make and was very personal..you can't copy & paste everything

cvvvvvvv lash a bit annie

i didn't know he copied the mess too

He won a Grammy for best video and FKA Twigs lost in that category. So he knew the video.
He actually hired her choreographer (pole dancing) and tried to hire the same videographer..

the promotion of the shoe does leave room for people to assume Nike could be associated with it

not everyone's gonna take time to read between the lines or do research

they see "Exclusive shoe line" being advertised and will assume Nike's on board

i think they have good reason for filing, considering how negative the press is surrounding the shoe

wait, so that shoe wasn't actually made by nike?

this is what im talking about

i dont know if they did it on purpose 100% but i def sense some misrepresentation
and i actually feel some of it was intentional - just the way they were pushing it, and the wording used.

it just  left soooo much room for people to assume what you're assuming

"yuck nike! ugh u disappoint meh!"

i would say that if they survived the whole "imma burn ur merchandise cuz u support blacks" mess, they can survive this

but this is different. this whole gay, demonic mess he's doing is gonna piss off their black customers AND white customers.
and black customers make up a LARGE ass chunk of their buying demographic

they're scrambling. :plzstop:

u dont think they're suing him?

the NY Times is reporting this news
they're super reliable.

i can see someone immediately putting out a statement, but filing a lawsuit is bit more of a process
gathering the information, etc. and it's only been a few days sfsfsfs

a cease and desist is literally a statement they can email his team in 5 mins

And 66k is nothing to Nike

They didn't even imply they're taking action in their statement

The company, yes, but not him. I'm sure there are loopholes though and that the company figured out some way to sell the product and avoid a lawsuit payout. They aint the 1st company to use a logo from another company and get away with it.

i honestly think the situation is beyond a cease and desist once someone is actually putting the shoes up for sale
there was no "coming this summer" mess....which IMO would have given nike a chance to tell him whoa. pump ur brakes..dial it back a bit. :calmdownsis: don't do this sis. stop production of the shoe.

but they now have a huge artist with a massive following and there's a ton of controversy surrounding him right now
and he chooses to design and put a shoe on sale with their logo attached, promoting it as an exclusive shoe with no clear disclaimer that they are not associated....

this is definitely grounds for a lawsuit. those records are public as well
so people can see the details

i'm pretty sure  like NY Times did their due diligence before reporting on it. they're not a tabloid mess owt who'll just print  or copy/paste anything for clicks and views.
they're highly reputable.

im like 99.9% certain this information is real - basd on the sources alone if nothing else.
