To be honest though, I think one of the things that is making this era super special for Jazmine are the live performances. A music video is kool and all, but her Tiny Desk alone prob garnered more attention than a music video would've. If that is her team's strategy, it's a brilliant one. This is my 1st time ever being so invested in a project by hers. That Pick Up Ur Feelings performance and Tiny Desk pulled me in.

It's like they capitalizing off of the digital performances platform as visuals and letting her true talent shine... which she fuckin deserves... and I'm sure they saving a whole lotta money going this route too

I wouldn't be mad if Brandy did this approach in the future b/c we stan more for her performances than music videos anyway
