I just looked up alternatives to cows milk (vegan parents) and hemp milk was literally right there on the list. Im gonna assume this girl did her due diligence and consulted a medical doctor.  Yea,  not listening to yall in here

Like I said, from what I read,  it's BEST they have cows milk but as long as u supplement nutrients then it looks like it's doable.  We don't know who this girl consulted,  ONCE AGAIN

Newborns aren't supposed to have anything but milk, their stomachs aren't adapted for it yet and all the nutrients they need comes from milk or formula, their tummies are so small if you feed them with anything else your essentially depriving them with the nutrients they need from it
And your setting them up with gastric issues later on in life because their digestive systems aren't like ours yet, they can't handle anything else
That's why they progress from milk to soft foods, to soups, cereals etc

Especially honey, it contains a bacteria that's ok for adults because were used to it but their stomach aren't, it could actually kill them
I don't have baby, but my brother had a 5 month old and I've learnt a lot 

All this is true. I just had a baby a year and a half ago. 

But do we even know that's what she's feeding her baby or is it just in the picture?  I have a hard time believing that her obstetrician or pediatrician has not told her what to feed the baby.

I am afraid she just had a baby at home with Badu and she just told her "do whatever feels good" and now Summer is just making some DIY concoctions inspired by Pinterest or instagram pages.

But I feel sad when I heard this because the baby could literally die. And I see all kinds of memes on Twitter but it's a very serious problem if she does give them Honey, Hemp, no milk/formula. I really hope this teaches people more about nutrition for babies..there are so many vitamins needed and the antibodies in breastmilk could help a baby so much.
