I Agree but the problem is it seems this is all based on her need for validation from a man.

My daddy said don't go out side with nappy hair and chipped nails, my husband said if u look good you feel good, ladies how u gonna get a man lookin like a mammy?

L0NZ.

Was becoming obese a part of the "keep yourself together" package her daddy instilled in her.

Speaking of daddy, the fact that she refers to her husband as "daddy" and they way they both seemingly pressure her to cross her fkn T's speaks loudly.

The more I think bout it the more am interested in why this is acceptable for niggas but not Black women.

I really do feel for them. They gotta be the backbone of their community AND deal with this mess

i was def thinking one could argue that it def falls under the umbrella of "self care" and "letting urself go"

There's definitely a tinge of misogyny under these statements she's making ... especially with her referencing how a male figure in her life told her how to present herself as a woman

And I'm honestly surprised she's talking about her father in this light because from what I remember her saying, she calls her husband "daddy" because her real father wasn't there . And that he He was her first solid father figure

I'm confused goddess

And I wonder if she's taken time to address young black men and their appearances as well

Cuz everything she's saying is based on some "a man will NEVER want u or approach u if you lookin like that!" mess that she's pushing
