I doubt it, but w/ age and pregnancies it can alter the voice. She also doesn't sing a lot so its proab not in the best shape or as developed as it should be.

I think it's a bit of both, they probably don't want Brandy wailing all over these songs, but she stopped singing like that a while back (Begging and Pleadin). This song and Somebody's Son are the best indication of how she sings now. I love it.

Yeah a select number of people on twitter don't really speak for the general public. One of Brandy's master toolbox is her placement. I don't think the general public (more people than not) has ever felt she does too much.

Which is interesting cuz i think she did way more in the TwoEleven era than she does now, and, In studio, Brandy don't even be running like that IMO.

Yeah a select number of people on twitter don't really speak for the general public. One of Brandy's master toolbox is her placement. I don't think the general public (more people than not) has ever felt she does too much.
Not everyone gets there feedback from Twitter. But Twitter is a decent sized platform to gather information from, me personally would gather info from across all the major outlets and present them.
And the general public doesn't mean all fans. You need to find out why isn't she connecting with certain people 7 albums deep and u would be very surprised what you hear.

And outside of Borderline and Saving all my love .. b7 is the least amount of stacking she's done on an album since Human and NSN IMO. She does a lot in spots but not throughout.
Unconditional, Lucid Dreams, and Say Something immediately come to mind. If anything, she lowkey stripped down a lot and tried something different as far as I'm concerned.

You aren't wrong about people not being into that style of singing. There are many people that aren't into vocalists and singing at ALL and the radio and records that are popular right now are proof of that. Brandy has been giving Lyric Soprano her entire career.... but she's been leaning into this higher range for years now.... Its nice to be able to get songs from her that show off so many different textures of her voice. This song is a classic so it's nice to hear Brandy's version... I wish there was a full length version on iTunes to purchase like there was with Hear Me..
