So as of late I've been dealing with anxiety. I've always heard about anxiety and what it does to people, but never experienced it until now. First this nervous feeling comes over me, a sharp pain in my head and chest, I start hyperventilating, my heart beating 100mph, cold sweats, then the worst part: TREMORS. Chile I thought I was about to have a seizure, the way I was shaking jsjss but does anybody else deal with anxiety? If so how do you deal with it?
Have you figured out what your trigger is yet?
Wow, this sounds terrible. My aunt has anxiety attacks when she has to drive on the highway. I thought it was so random and not that big of a deal but apparently it's pretty serious

That's the thing! I can't pinpoint what I'm anxious about like I'm clueless. I went to the doc today to make sure it wasn't heart attacks I was having. They did a EKG and the results were fine. Ugh this week has been hell. I'm new to this shit...

right like when people say I have anxiety or I had an anxiety attack I be like chile you just being dramatic :nowgorl: BULLSHIT. Anxiety is as real as you and I.
You should find out why you're having anxiety attacks and try to find ways to cope. Your anxiety sounds pretty bad tho. Were they mild before and just escalate or was it always this bad?
I recommend talking to a professional, identify the type of anxiety you may have (there's at least six).
You will have to develop new coping skills and a routine to manage your symptoms.
If you cannot get to a professional.
Reach out to support groups, online-offline, and educate yourself as much as possible, etc.
Anxiety can completely disrupt daily activities and thus compromise your quality of life.
Don't let the years go by without seeking the proper help.

If it just started this week, it could be situational vs. persistent.
You need to really take a look at the CHANGES in your life within the last two weeks.
Really think about it.
Could be external factors.

'Neca sis!
This just happened to me!
I was just telling iman about this!
So I did my research and found out when and where it started
So I started pacing my thoughts and cut that friend out of my life!
I feel so much better and it seems to be gone!
I'm praying that it's gone!
It was the worst feeling I've ever felt
Write down all the activities you do throughout the day.
All the places you went, etc.
Just journal it for 2-7 days.
And identify when the episodes happen.
@ what time, under which circumstances.
EVEN if it's random, at that moment.
Start with that.

dddd I'm asking if a person or an event may've re-entered your life or something. Idk cause I had anxiety a month ago cause one of my exes sauntered back into my life. It stopped now since I cut him off. You should pinpoint what it is. Maybe, it's a person. Like do you get it while you're at a place or heading there, etc.
i just take ativan when its really but mine is terrible as well

it could also be spiritual. Believe it or not, I am a STRONG believer in Christ. Maybe God is trying to get my attention. All throughout the attacks I was praying, binding, and declaring healing of my mind. I want to ask Him whats really going on cuz only He knows....
Talk to a therapist or even a psychiatrist. Anxiety Disorder is no joke. I'm being serious as someone who suffers from social anxiety disorder it's serious. Medication and therapy can keep it under control but also like Ralf said, keep a journal of the past two weeks and remember what triggered the episodes that can be helpful when speaking with the therapist regarding it. He or she will figure out the best course of treatment depending on what triggered your anxiety.

Different medications work for different types of anxiety disorders. There's six different types out there now according to the DSM-5

My anxiety fluctuates. I get really overwhelmed and on edge. General and social. But I realized my sleep pattern is fucked (now moreso because of work) and my diet isn't the best. Those two can play a major part. I really don't wanna have to take meds. Eek
And I'm about to start journaling. :ohwow:

Omg this happened to me when I moved here 2 years ago and I started university. I didn't know anybody and I was nervous as HELL and I think it triggeted what might have been anxiety attacks. The symptoms are exactly as you described them.
They haven't happened to me since then tho.
