I Don't, Thick of it, I'm Better :uhh:
don't get me wrong, I use 2/3 of these songs (I Don't sucks guys) but you know our music is SHIT if these legends have to do the trap style singing-rapping just to get played on the radio or score a hit. EVERYBODY is doing it. I was even surprised that Rihanna did a song like Needed Me.
I'm truly sick to my stomach.
Bran gorl if you even think about it :guys:
Rihanna has pretty much hopped on one trend to the next her entire career, of course she would run to DJ Mustard for a hit. :dead:
Hearing Missy try that lazy ass Migos flow was horrifying tho.
I was, truly :everythingok:
Yes, im completely bruned out.
That Missy song is literally the worst thing i've heard so far. Glad it flopped.
I truly agree with you. I hate the way music is now.

Yea... I was sitting on Spotify not too long ago thinking "wow.... Spotify ain't much fucking better than Apple Music :uhh:", but honestly.... it really has nothing to do with them. Music just fucking SUCKS.
These R&B playlists sound like one big never ending monotone depressing Drake MESS. The R&B gorls just run trends down to the GROUND. This is all the gorls gonna be giving for the next 10 years.

omg I just tweeted this todayyyyy. I was trying to make a playlist for a show I was doing and wanted to us only R&B from this year or late last year and the genre is so alternative and left sounding now. These ugly ass accents and tones, dark monotonous drake ass production, trap drums. Lyrics all symbolic and ambiguous and production all unstructured.
Like what happened to a simple melody and chorus lmfaooo :plzstop: What happened to a radio friendly generic yet soulful production a la Darkchild :plzstop:

Lol @ giving these rappers full credit. The female rnb singers are the reason they are trying to be all rhythmic and talk sing over beats.
!!!!!!!!! Like with this new Big Sean album, I can hear Jhene's coos GLIDING over these tracks/productions. I love how today's Hip Hop artists are so experimental with sounds, singing, and doing things out of their element. you're looking in the wrong places then.
Just last year we had.
King
Jorja Smith
Nao
JONES
Ray BLK
Jamila Woods
Solange
Blood Orange
Gallant
Chloe x Halle
H E R
And so many others.
Stop turning to radio to find music.
This year already started excellent with the Sampha and Syd albums.
Yeah I like them but idk a lot of it is still too contrived and trying hard not to be "corny"... like where is the black R&B Ariana Grande? Just making fun well made easy R&B music.
Why would anyone want to do what Ariana does. We can just listen to mid 90s Mariah.
dddd but !!!
I love music atm
Hip hop artists and the R&B artists that have debuted within the last 6/7 as well as the newer indie, underground artists are giving me what I need.
It's only the bulk of our faves from the last 2 decades that are releasing average material.
Radio has never played quality, just what's pushed by labels and music execs.

I never get why ppl act so elitist when it comes to music. If it's a bop it's a bop. Hardly anyone out here is singing the soundtrack to anyone's life.
Lol @ giving these rappers full credit. The female rnb singers are the reason they are trying to be all rhythmic and talk sing over beats.

!!!!!!! Im aware of these artists and they're all on these R&B playlists on Spotify that Im speaking of. :dead: I use some of them, but what we're saying is (minus King, NAO, Solange, and maybe a few others you listed), it's all the same mess. And some of it just feels very contrived.
Why cant the gorls just stop faking the edgy tones, singing about toilet paper, and GLIDE over some KNOCK every once in a while? Thats all am fucking SAYIN'.

I wonder if Contemporary R&B will ever be popular again
if producers dont step their game up and produce really HOT tracks like back in the day, it wont be popular ever again
Those days are over
Some of you guys are still living in the 90s and 00's :dead:

It's 2017 already and three new bitches have music out sampling the same damn li' song. Fuck being inspired at this point its like she's the go-to for R&B artists to be this edgy alternative r&b buzz. Oh look lets throw this li sample in there, so innovative, so cool :raycharles2urmess:
uh No dykes, it's fucking lazy and you're using this woman to get acclaim but then get mad when the comparisons roll in. Can we have something DIFFERENT and original for fucks sake? What is going on with R&B these days?
