I never get why ppl act so elitist when it comes to music. If it's a bop it's a bop. Hardly anyone out here is singing the soundtrack to anyone's life.

Mainstream music is so trendy now.
There are still artists who make great music these days, but the majority of them are indie.

Exactly.  There's still all kinds of R&B  being made plus there is actually talent scattered amongst these new artists. People be so quick to write people off or deem them flops like ANY of that truly matters
