U know what, i was listening to omarion and he does make good music. Iono about this body on me shit tho
His mixtapes are pretty solid. Yea this Body on Me mess is a grower.
And that's exactly what i was referring to.  For the most parts all his mixtapes are really good.

This came on my ipod the other day and I've been STANNING! If he gave this vocal live, I could really fuck with him.

this is nice.

I thought this would do something for him

Kaeli.

I wonder if Contemporary R&B will ever be popular again

I never get why ppl act so elitist when it comes to music. If it's a bop it's a bop. Hardly anyone out here is singing the soundtrack to anyone's life.

Lol @ giving these rappers full credit. The female rnb singers are the reason they are trying to be all rhythmic and talk sing over beats.

That's the problem. They ain't no damn BOPS. Have you not heard these R&B playlists?

you're looking in the wrong places then.

Just last year we had.
King
Jorja Smith
Nao
JONES
Ray BLK
Jamila Woods
Solange
Blood Orange
Gallant
Chloe x Halle
H E R

And so many others.

Stop turning to radio to find music.

This year already started excellent with the Sampha and Syd albums.

Yeah I like them but idk a lot of it is still too contrived and trying hard not to be "corny"... like where is the black R&B Ariana Grande? Just making fun well made easy R&B music.

Why would anyone want to do what Ariana does. We can just listen to mid 90s Mariah.

I just want greasy, soulful Darkchild type productions with actual singing back.

I love music atm
Hip hop artists and the R&B artists that have debuted within the last 6/7 as well as the newer indie, underground artists are giving me what I need.
It's only the bulk of our faves from the last 2 decades that are releasing average material.
Radio has never played quality, just what's pushed by labels and music execs.

FUCK Bey

!!!!!!! Im aware of these artists and they're all on these R&B playlists on Spotify that Im speaking of. :dead: I use some of them, but what we're saying is (minus King, NAO, Solange, and maybe a few others you listed), it's all the same mess. And some of it just feels very contrived.

Why cant the gorls just stop faking the edgy tones, singing about toilet paper, and GLIDE over some KNOCK every once in a while? Thats all am fucking SAYIN'.
