The music is so iconic :stressed:

What I love most about rivers is ya can't step in the same river twice
The water's always changing, always flowing
But people, I guess, can't live like that
We all must pay a price
To be safe, we lose our chance of ever knowing
What's around the riverbend

In the film John Smith fine self gets shot and they have to travel back to England to cure him. But I imagine in those days traveling while shot through the fckn Atlantic Ocean equals death. He shoulda stayed with the Natives and let them put some voodoo creams on his wounds.

That happened in the film as well. Right after that the Brit tries to shoot the Chief and John sacrifices his own body to protect him.

Right but why remake a tragic/deplorable story to begin with? Of all stories since history, it seems they choose the most disgusting only to turn them around into the complete opposite..

You guys do know it's a cartoon right
:ummwhat:
Its based on a REAL PERSON who was kidnapped and raped and disney turned it into a love story

Is that not sick to you? :uhh:
um yh I know that Gen' bbygir'
I was talking about the posts dissecting the cartoon
Not the reality behind it.

So we can't analyze a film, cause it's animated? Really?
You want to analyse a Cartoon?

I mean can I discuss a classic Disney film? Ppl in here debating dozens of pages over Love & Hip Hop characters.

Disney isn't even worth the hassle.

America will always find a way to romanticize and sugarcoat its sins.

Seems to be the only thing White people can season correctly.
Very sociopathic..

The movie didn't show the grittiness of it because that's not Disney's teas. Still, they accurately painted the white men who stole their land as the villains and expressed an overall unity between all people as an underlying theme :stressed:

And peaceful. I believe that if Whites hadn't introduced so many new illnesses into the population, they would have had a much harder time getting getting control over the land. Very rarely did an Indian go down without a fight.

What I love most about rivers is ya can't step in the same river twice
The water's always changing, always flowing
But people, I guess, can't live like that

To be safe, we lose our chance of ever knowing
What's around the riverbend
