Absolutely not but he's very talented in his own right. I don't know why he felt the need to go the extra mile here :dead:
But Chris definitely needs prayer. He wants to grow but just doesn't really know how. Especially after being diagnosed as BiPolar smh probably doesn't take the necessary medicine as he should. And Weed is definitely the wrong thing to be using when you have that condition.
My best friend did that growing up and lost his mind for good

I agree to an extent. MJ also had a rough patch in his career where he was scrutinized more than he was praised and Pac definitely had his share of controversy. I think once Chris really bounces back, he can be highly respected and considered one of the greats, though he'll never be as big as MJ or 2Pac.

Chris Brown always had an enormous amount of talent and charisma. I totally get the MJ comparison. I really think had he not turned into the poster child for domestic violence he would have been one of the biggest stars we'd seen in our lifetime. Very close to Michael status.
I mean his career still managed to survive something that most of us thought it wouldn't. That says a lot. And yes R. Kelly had the same experience, but the difference is that there was no smoking gun in Robert's case. We had cold hard proof that Chris did what he was accused of doing, and yet he's still signed and releasing albums.
It always made me sad that I didn't get to see where he was headed. Because he was really really beginning to take off.

The insane thing about Chris is that although his talent is comparable to MJ, his style really isn't. You have many male celebrities like Justin or Usher who take so many tricks and tips from Michael, but Chris came in krumping , back flipping, doing all sorts of crazy new mess but with that same amazing ENERGY that Michael brought to the table. I think that is what makes him amazing to me and really sets him apart.
Such a shame that he put a ceiling over his own damn career.

No. And Chris isn't a good songwriter or producer. Yeah, I said it. He rehashes the same tired dance moves and there's no growth whatsoever within him or his music. He will NEVER be on MJ's or Pac's level. And I mean NEVER. He doesn't even have half of the gift that the both of them have.

but the fact is that his career and status were steadily increasing. He was being pushed into more of a pop direction, and he'd just secured that endorsement with Doublemint gum, so commercials including his image were everywhere. Drake is kinda everything Chris was heading for now
plea'
Drake created a whole new sound and bridged Hip-Hop and R&B with a more ambient sound. Chris was just riding a wave was the most popular one out of the other niggers.
Chris Def isn't where he could be.
I mean he's almost banned from most of the countries he sells in UK, Australia and I'm sure there's more.

!
Yeah I think he would've been a bigger star
But MJ Jr would've put him above like everyone from this generation
No. Never saw that.
:udontlookok:
yea he would've been a worldwide Superstar, but I think people forget how huge MJ really was. Even "huge" is an understatement :dead:
He is a worldwide superstar. And he would not be any bigger. I don't think he would have been giving Adele, Taylor Swift tease tbh...
If anything, those head-lines made him known to an entirely new audience, that never heard of him.
>>><<<
I believe he's where he would've been regardless. Doesn't he sellout shows overseas?
There are a couple artists I believe ruined their chances but Chris isn't one of them tbh.
How can you say that he didn't ruin his chances when his image was literally pulled from TV, his endorsements (which are in large part used to solidify celebrity in our society) , were pulled.....he didn't ruin ALL of his chances (which just goes to prove how talented he is), but he did put himself in a position where less opportunity was available to him. This is just fact.

I didn't mean musically
I meant being a superstar selling tons of records and having multiple endorsements..... As a black man
Drake is massive
I mean how much bigger was he gonna get. He is the biggest male R&B artist right now. Hell the biggest male in pop period.
He wasn't gone be on some Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Sam Smith mess for obvious reasons... And for him to be revered and make it to those heights artistically (R. Kelly, Drake, Lauryn Hill, D'Angelo etc.) he just ain't creative/unique enough.

He lost major, major endorsements. Bigger than TMZ and other sites dragging him for domestic violence lol a lot of people stopped supporting him and will never fuck with him now. He lost Rihanna's entire fan base when they would have gone up for BOTH
Imagine that lol

I said what I said :usuresis:
you guys are acting like he was going to be on a Justin Timberlake level which was never going to happen to begin with. What other endorsement did he have outside of fucking Wrigley Gum? :kii:
He was never
that big before the mess went down. If I recall correctly he was on the same level as Ciara was at the time. 2006-2008.
2Pac was actually intelligent too. Chris is dumb as rocks.

He's not the biggest male R&B artist out now :ohwow: That's Weeknd luv. lolz. :receipts:
Him having rants and throwing tantrums is apart of him as a celebrity. He would have never crossed over to a global/universal Justin Timberlake lane. He is way too much of a baboon. Rih controversy or not.
Had he gone pop, he'd maybe have ended up like Jason DeR?lo, with his urban music he is right where he is supposed to be.
We can only say what we felt he would be like. Either mega pop star, or chitlen circuit bound flop
But the fact of the matter is that his career was on a steady rise. Doors were opening for him, new audiences were being introduced to him, and he was becoming a household name. Everything else unfortunately is up to the imagination.

I agree with 'ick. Chris is a genius and God is clearly behind this man. If I didn't believe in God, I believe in him after what Chris has went through and overcome.

No.
Chris brown is an idiot and his music is mediocre. He doesnt even speak about real issues.. At least August Alsina does.

people may chuckle at "just" a Doublemint endorsement, but what other black male artist had commercials playing regularly on TV.
For once I can say one of us fucked it up for ourself. Those allegations against Mike were suspect; the accusers could easily have been seen as opportunists. But no one forced Chris to throw GODanna's head against that windshield.

So Chris compares to this? I think the fuck not. Never have and NEVER will. Michael is the biggest male pop star of All Time and Tupac is one of the greatest rappers Lyricist to ever live. Nick Cannon has no credibility, so his opinion is null and void.
