but I think the difference is there was a time was very widely celebrated in this industry and even when she wasn't their was like a pocket of the industry that REALLY respected her and cited her as someone they looked up to. Look at podcast like R&B money and how many people name Brandy as one of their favorite artists.  Monica doesn't really get the same kinda support
