There's supposed to be a balance of tragedy & comedy in this. They are interconnected genres. The women are going on a sex strike to end war. It's funny because this makes the men want to get their shit together. Y'all don't know shit.

gur... it's artistic expression. The writers didn't have to apply every aspect of the play toward the film's plot. Lysistrata, the play, is too old to be funny in current times anyway.
