Seems like people expect a glorification of the violence and murder.

Can you point me to where?
The comment section on youtube, lots of Chicago natives complaining that it's not gritty/gully enough
Je voudrais apprendre ? conna?tre si je pourrais ?tre, le genre de fille que vous pourriez ?tre en baisse pour

Miranda

I don't think gritty is glorifying tho. I think people want something more serious, real and authentic.

And this movie is a modern day adaptation of Aristophanes's Greek Comedy 'Lysistrata'.

There's supposed to be a balance of tragedy & comedy in this. They are interconnected genres. The women are going on a sex strike to end war. It's funny because this makes the men want to get their shit together. Y'all don't know shit.
gur... it's artistic expression. The writers didn't have to apply every aspect of the play toward the film's plot. Lysistrata, the play, is too old to be funny in current times anyway.

Some stuff belongs on stage and not in film, I'm sorry

Everything doesn't translate

Gur, it's an ADAPTATION. Not the actual Greek comedy!
