paid for!

Beyoncé can't help it she's highly revered, loved and praised.

Tell your flop faves to get like her.

:scrumptious:

Nn I noticed you said nothing about the video

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

Rolling Stone always has,  and will continue to acknowledge Beyoncé and always will, as long as she appeals to their audience and let's be clear here .. and  I hate to make it about race and/or skin color  but more white people celebrate Beyoncé than not... because she looks like them. And it's different for women in the industry and life in general. They have a more unique struggle of being considered beautiful and interesting than their male counterparts.

QuoteMardi Gras Indians are one of the unique aspects of New Orleans's adaptation of Carnival.

An origin story links Mardi Gras Indians to Native Americans in the region, who helped shield the slaves from capture. As tribute, they dress up in extravagant, colorful garb that resembles traditional indigenous attire.

It is not a surprise because Lemonade is also pretty high on the best albums list if I remember correctly

i dont think suzy is looking at fas saying "omg twinzy!"
she looks like a lighter skinned black woman.  not much ambiguity going on

but fas would def fall under the category of "safe black". i don't think many could debate that.  that whole "the day beyonce turned black" SNL skit was a kii but there was some underlying truth to it.

and that's even more amazing to me that she doesn't HIDE behind that.

she came owt to the world on that day celebrating ALL of who she is - including her creole teas.  and made it very clear that she stands for blackness so theres no mistaking or confusion.

Sovereign.

A lot of y'all are tripping. The entire "Lemonade" visual revolutionized black art in post-modern mainstream media so it makes sense "Formation" is named the greatest video of all time. Its current and spoke very much to the rise of black women's voices being amplified at the time.
