I just watched both the episodes.

The first episode was all over the place and a mess tbh. But the second episode was better.

Still corny and campy in parts, but smoother. Feels like the show is finding it's footing a bit.

If they flesh it out and work on the pacing and some other elements, I think I could enjoy it a lot more.

Jill the Dyke and Butter Pecan are my favourites.

I actually feel like they kinda patched up her relationship with her daughter too fast. One day she won't even let her into the house now they're having lunch together, smiling and chillin with Cam

See, I thought Jojo was gonna be pissed that Naomi invited Cam to join them at dinner, like "I haven't seen you in a year and the first time we're together you bring your ex"

That would have been more realistic to me.

And does Naomi know Cam is the father? The way she was looking at them felt like she was putting it together.

Remember Cam came to her door at the end and asked her what was what. She all but confirmed it. Also, i felt the same way about her daughter being too cool too fast. Although she still shaded Naomi before she gave her that gift of pop songs

Would have been nice to see how they got there though

And the daughter is around that age. In the flashback, Naomi (Brandy) went to Cam'Rons place looking to be consoled after falling out with Eric.  That's definitely when Jojo was conceived, cuz Naomi had just received confirmation that Eric was still pounding Valeria and getting her endorsement deals

C'mon for culture reset!!!! Funny about that storyline it was made up at the last minute. It wasn't planned to happen. That just shows you just how great tv was back then. Dallas>>>>>>

There are so many different styles and influences tied into one show. It's overwhelming but in a good way IMO. It's not for everybody but they definitely don't take themselves too seriously and that's part of it's charm for me. It's about their talent, the music and the relatable story of course, but, you've definitely got to suspend your disbelief during certain moments when it gets to the musical aspects of the show because that's what it is at the end of the day. We're watching a musical but a pretty cool one
