it's not completely unheard of for new artists to have a period of time where they're figuring themselves out.
GHan didn't immediately step into her own signature style. for a while she def modeled herself as the "bvy whitney"
mariah was modeled after whitney until she really began stepping into her own signature style with all her super girly album titles, rainbow colors, hip hop infused teas, etc
its very rare for an artist to just come owt the gate just having complete clarity on their own artistic identity.
chloe is over there copying fas for now but soon she'll step more into her own mess as well.
i'd say give them one album or two before we say they'll never figure out who they are.
