Quote"I screamed in my very aggressive Brooklyn voice, 'What the f*** are you doing, that's it!! The shoot is over!!'" she told the U.K. newspaper, adding that she had taken measures to make women feel comfortable on the set.

"Robin sheepishly apologized," Martel says. "As if he knew it was wrong without understanding how it might have felt for Emily."According to Martel, Thicke's record company was told the shoot would be halted, though a "very professional" Ratajkowski assured her that "we could go on.""We kept on and Emily was phenomenal," Martel told the Times. "She's really the star of the video. She's fully mocking him and the male gaze with her beautiful shape and ferocious energy. She's playful, not seductive. And quite hilarious."

In her book Ratajkowski says she didn't dwell on the alleged incident until she realized that Thicke, now a judge on The Masked Singer, had blocked her on Instagram."With that one gesture, Robin Thicke had reminded everyone on set that we women weren't actually in charge," she says of her experience. "I didn't have any real power as the naked girl dancing around in his music video. I was nothing more than the hired mannequin."

so any celebrity who has ever done a nude shoot or anyone who has ever been nude at the beach, in the gym changing room etc deserves to be touched by anyone?
no

but if someone strips down naked and parades themselves in front of a drunken artist on a video set for a concept that is clearly drenched in misogyny....
i dont understand how she was shocked that he misbehaved . she knew the video set she was on, she saw that he was drunk, and she still shimmy-ed her boobs in front of him for the camera. not to say she deserved it but im just not surprised that happened. it doesn't...shock me considering all the factors.

is anyone else shocked by this?  :uhh:

and im not surprised that the gorls are discovering the song is about rape
look at the video set :disgusted:

but, "fashion shoot! high class event!"
but what is your point? im not shocked, but its still fucked up and she deserves to speak out imo.
Must be a purple moon, feel like one of those nights...

my point is that shaking ur boobs in front of a clearly drunk man may result in an undesirable experience

ur naked

Yes he already spoke on being on alcohol and drugs when recording the song..he was a trainwreck.

Robin Thicke Admits He Didn't Really Write 'Blurred Lines,' Was High in the Studio

https://time.com/3378763/robin-thicke-blurred-lines-lawsuit-pharrell-drugs/ (2014)
QuoteI was high on vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio. So my recollection is when we made the song, I thought I wanted — I — I wanted to be more involved than I actually was by the time, nine months later, it became a huge hit and I wanted credit. So I started kind of convincing myself that I was a little more part of it than I was and I — because I didn't want him — I wanted some credit for this big hit. But the reality is, is that Pharrell had the beat and he wrote almost every single part of the song.
Williams said he was "in the driver's seat" for this song, but explained that sharing credit is the norm for the music industry. "You know, people are made to look like they have much more authorship in the situation than they actually do. So that's where the embellishment comes in." When asked whose words were used in the lyrics, Williams answered: "Mine."

Williams also said that it's "Robin Thicke's voice" that makes the song great: "Because it's the white man singing soulfully and we, unfortunately, in this country don't get enough — we don't get to hear that as often, so we get excited by it when the mainstream gives that a shot."

Thicke also admitted he lied to media outlets about the genesis of the song, like when he described the creative process to GQ: "Pharrell and I were in the studio and I told him that one of my favorite songs of all time was Marvin Gaye's 'Got to Give It Up.' I was like, 'Damn, we should make something like that, something with that groove.' Then he started playing a little something and we literally wrote the song in about a half hour and recorded it."

As for why, exactly, he lied, Thicke says that he "had a drug and alcohol problem for the year" and "didn't do a sober interview."

My issue is that Pharrell knows this about some of these white Artists that steal and he continues to work with em. I know its a business but he's been around long enough to not have to work with just anybody. No ma'am

The Only BLACK Kalmyks

and it literally has nothing to do with a gender

cuz if a man decides to strip down and put his dick in a drunk woman's face
then goes  :-o :-o once the drunk woman grabs his penis

...since the expectation was that this drunk woman wouldn't reach out and touch his naked body brushing up against her

sddsdsdsdsd like, get real.

King

:guys:

A woman directed this video and it sounds like the concept for the video was meant to be pretty Artsy. It's not shocking that he did this but it doesn't excuse him (not putting words in ur mouth) and we can't really pin any of this on her. She was hired to model and act in the video. This wasn't necessarily a Tip Drill type of tea where the girls are likely told "hey we wanna make this as real as possible. Nelly i want you to slide the card down in between her cheeks and grip that ass"

The difference here IMO is the direction. If he wasn't told to grip her breasts then he had no business doing so. That's like one of those unwritten rules. You can adlib all you want but that ain't no damn adlib :kii:

I guess that's why nowadays they have intimacy coaches to really make sure everyone knows the rules. She is a top model...I think it was presented to her like a fashion shoot where everyone will be treated like models and not video heauxs.
!!!!!!!!!

It's sad they have to do this but it makes sense
