I got an expert to look at my African DNA.

Herb.

I got tired of guessing and prancing around Africa for answers so I just messaged one of the creators of GEDMatch tests, which are designed to break down African heritage even further. Lazy approach I assume but you guys know I've been at this for months. I can slack a little. :dead:

Here's our conversation.

QuoteNilo-Saharan   3.25%
North-Africa   7.98%
Mbuti-Pygmy   -
Eastern-Bantu   17.33%
Khoi-San   6.45%
West-Africa   49.42%
Hadza   -
Biaka-Pygmy   1.28%
French   13.17%
Omotic   1.12%

Obviously, I know I am African American. But what could be said about my admixture, based on these results?

QuoteYour results are not typical of an African American. Then again, there is wide range of results for African Americans. However, these results indicate a more recent admixture from Eastern Africa and Southeastern Africa.

Basically, most of our ancestors were taken from West Africa during the slave trade, but it seems I have a significant amount of ancestors in south and east Africa.

I show 6.45% Khoisan ancestry.
This is actually mind blowing. Khoisans are these very unique people in Africa who are almost completely separate in culture and appearance than their neighbors. The average African American has 0.30% of this heritage.

6.45% is equivalent to having one full blooded Khoisan great great grandparent.
Which is fucking mind blowing to me because our ancestors came in from Africa way before that (that we know of.) It's almost hinting at closer ancestry from one of my grandparents that I have to unearth. Almost like someone migrating from Africa recently and throwing this into my bloodline. :uhh:

Also, the Omo River results that I received consistently point toward Ethiopia.

I thought digging into my African ancestry would be tough but it's unraveling quite nicely. I just have to dig in and find where all these unexpected teas are coming from.

It's real interesting to see how science is slowly unraveling the importance of Africa in world history and genetics.....the place we've been conditioned to see as a roach motel or homeless shelter is actually the place where humanity began.

The diversity in this continent is fucking ridiculous.  :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: Why don't we know about all of this? :uhh:

You must have some South African Fam.

Lemme email one of them.

I'm so sure this is coming from my mother though.
I know you shouldn't always go by looks when it comes to DNA but she definitely had an Afro-Asiatic/East African look to her.
the slanted eyes, the slim nose (that she didn't give to me :udontlookok: ), small lips...her features were very fine. and very soft hair. with flawless ass skin.

My only task IMO would be figuring out if it's from my grandmother's or grandfather's side.

Which one of those things did you use to get those results?

I used Ethiohelix for the one in the original post.

and Dodecad Africa 9 as well, a separate test that returned another 6% for "San" results.
I like to run more than one test to confirm consistency. And it's definitely there.

QuoteEurope   11.19%
NW_Africa   7.65%
SW_Asia   4.12%
E_Africa   5.02%
S_Africa   10.88%
Mbuti   -
W_Africa   53.30%
Biaka   1.70%
San 6.15%

AncestryDNA also originally gave me a huge chunk of central + southeast African results, but not as broken down (general areas of Congo + SE Bantu). They definitely told me which regions to pay attention to, though. My African results are very unusual for an AA who takes AncestryDNA test.

1) Usually, the African breakdown in AncestryDNA is more evenly spread out for AA's, and are usually primarily comprised of West African countries, with Central and South Africa thrown in here and there. (Example: Nigeria 19% Senegal 20% GHana 17% Cameroon/Congo 16%). My results started with a HUGE heaping and concentration of GHana/Ivory coast at 36%, then went to Central and South Africa.

2) Considering the fact that most of our ancestors were snatched from West Africa countries into slavery, it's not very often that "SouthEastern Bantu" pops up for us. Especially as such as huge part of the makeup (within the top 3 results).

I scored higher in this region than 90% of 350 AA's who took the AncestryDNA test and participated in a study regarding African ancestry by sharing their results.

(See chart here: http://ancestryforums.custhelp.com/files/6968bde2b7/Stats_%28AA%3D350%29a.jpg The average was 6% of African makeup, I scored nearly 3 times the amount at 16% of my African makeup. )

Not only did SE Bantu appear, but it smoothly meshes with "Cameroon Congo".

Here is a map of Central/East/South Africa:

AncestryDNA's definition of "Congo/Cameroon" includes:
Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, Republic of Congo (also found in Angola, Chad)

AncestryDNA's definition of "Southeastern Bantu" includes:
South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, Mozambique, Uganda

My results from the test smoothly COLLIDE with one another. All these countries are right next door, just like my results are. Usually, AA results are all over the place tbh.

My results are are an almost even split between West Africa (36%) and Central/Southeast Africa (18 + 13 = 31%) .

:stressed:

They are seen as a separate race: "Capoid", as opposed to Caucasoid, Mongoloid or Negroid.

There's been a lot of debate about this on the internet. Of course we're always quick to say "You just BLACK! Don't think u special! :fuming: " , so a lot of people don't like the separation from the Negroid race. I'm torn on it. IMO these people clearly have their own look going on, but they are on the Motherland at the end of the day.

Even Indians' origins can be traced back to Africa.

According to the theory of Pangea, India was part of Africa. Alot of south indians in fact look like black people. The further north you go, the lighter-skinned and more lank-haired they generally look, due to alot of mixing with Europeans etc.

But yeah, it explains why I only like black dick. It's my DNA and stuff.  :ohwow:

Everyone came from GODfrica. :justabit:

its vast genetic diversity definitely supports the scientific facts.

only thing I'm confused about is how did the whites end up with blue eyes :plzstop:
